FAMÍLIA E MOTIVAÇÃO DOS ESTUDANTES NAS AULAS DE MATEMÁTICA: DESAFIOS E POSSIBILIDADES

Resumo

Este estudo examinou a conexão entre o envolvimento familiar e a motivação dos alunos nas aulas de matemática, ressaltando os desafios e as oportunidades dessa colaboração. O objetivo foi entender como a participação dos responsáveis afeta o engajamento, a confiança e o desempenho dos alunos do ensino fundamental II. A pesquisa utilizou uma metodologia mista, integrando a análise quantitativa de questionários e desempenho escolar com entrevistas qualitativas semiestruturadas com docentes e familiares. Os resultados sugerem que a motivação dos alunos, a diminuição da ansiedade em relação à matemática e a melhoria do desempenho acadêmico estão positivamente correlacionadas com o acompanhamento regular e consistente. Ações simples, como incentivar, dialogar sobre conteúdos e estabelecer uma rotina de estudos, mostraram ter efeitos consideráveis. A pesquisa mostra que fortalecer a conexão entre família e escola é essencial para promover a aprendizagem significativa. Isso destaca a importância de estratégias que incentivem e orientem a participação dos familiares no processo educacional.

Abstract

This study examined the connection between family involvement and student motivation in mathematics classes, highlighting the challenges and opportunities of this collaboration. The objective was to understand how parental involvement affects the engagement, confidence, and performance of middle school students. The research used a mixed methodology, integrating quantitative analysis of questionnaires and school performance with semi-structured qualitative interviews with teachers and family members. The results suggest that student motivation, reduced anxiety about mathematics, and improved academic performance are positively correlated with regular and consistent monitoring. Simple actions, such as encouraging, discussing content, and establishing a study routine, have been shown to have considerable effects. The research shows that strengthening the connection between family and school is essential to promoting meaningful learning. This highlights the importance of strategies that encourage and guide family participation in the educational process.
